A gentle session combining energy healing with the Emotion Code to help your horse let go of stress and “trapped emotions”, settle, and reconnect.
Whole-horse wellbeing
Horses are sensitive prey animals. Weaning, transport, changes of home or herd, hard training, injury and loss can all leave an imprint that shows up as anxiety, resistance, or a horse that just seems “stuck”. This session brings two complementary approaches together to support how your horse feels on the inside.
Energy healing
Energy healing is a light-touch or hands-off practice that helps a horse settle, release stress and return to a calmer state. Many horses respond by lowering their head, softening their eye, sighing or dozing. The work is quiet and unhurried, and your horse is free to move away or come closer.
The Emotion Code
The Emotion Code is an energy healing method developed by Dr Bradley Nelson. It is based on the idea that emotionally charged experiences (fear, grief, abandonment, frustration) can become “trapped” as energy in the body and contribute to discomfort, tension or unwanted behaviour.
Because horses can’t speak for themselves, muscle testing (often proxy testing, where a person acts as a stand-in) is used to ask simple yes/no questions and identify specific trapped emotions from the Emotion Code chart. Each one is acknowledged, then released by running a magnet or hand along the governing meridian, which runs down the spine.
How a session works
Sessions can be done with your horse in person, or at a distance using a clear, recent photo, which is helpful for horses that are hard to travel or far away.
- Intake chat about history, behaviour and goals
- Energy work to help your horse settle
- Muscle testing to identify trapped emotions
- Release along the governing meridian
- A written summary of what came up and any themes
Owners often seek it for
- Anxiety, spookiness or difficulty settling
- Float loading, separation or herd stress
- Ex-racehorses adjusting to a new life
- Support during rehab and recovery
- Horses that seem “stuck” despite good training and care
- Strengthening the bond between horse and human
After your session
Releases are often described as continuing to process for a day or two. Your horse may seem tired, quiet or extra affectionate. Give them easy time and fresh water. Many horses benefit from a short series of sessions a few weeks apart, so you can book several in advance.
Questions
Does my horse need to be present?
No. Distance sessions use a clear, recent photo and your permission. Many owners like to be with their horse during a distance session and share what they notice.
How many sessions will my horse need?
Some horses show a shift after one session; others benefit from a series of two or three sessions a few weeks apart. You can book multiple sessions at once and save.
Can it be combined with massage therapy?
Yes. Pairing this session with massage therapy is a popular way to support the whole horse, physically and emotionally. See the Whole Horse Reset bundle.
Is there scientific evidence for the Emotion Code?
Energy healing and the Emotion Code are complementary practices and have not been validated by controlled scientific studies. Many owners value them as part of a holistic approach. They never replace veterinary, dental, saddle-fit or training input.
Energy healing and the Emotion Code are complementary wellbeing practices. They do not diagnose, treat or cure any medical condition. Always consult your veterinarian for physical health concerns.
