Improve comfort, mobility and performance.

Equine Massage Therapy

Hands-on soft tissue work to release tension, restore range of motion and help your horse move and feel their best.

What it is

Equine massage therapy combines massage, myofascial release and gentle stretching to ease tight, sore or compensating muscles. Horses carry tension from training, travel, saddle fit, old injuries and simply being a horse, and that tension shows up as resistance, uneven movement or changes in behaviour.

What to expect

Each session starts with a movement and posture assessment and a chat about history, workload and anything you have noticed. The work is horse-led: Jess watches for release signals (licking and chewing, yawning, softening of the eye) and adjusts pressure and pace to suit.

  • Static and movement assessment
  • Full-body soft tissue work focused on problem areas
  • Assisted stretches
  • Aftercare notes and simple stretches to do at home

Great for

  • Competition horses before and after events
  • Horses returning to work or changing discipline
  • Older horses needing comfort and mobility
  • Behaviour changes that may be linked to discomfort

Questions

How often should my horse have massage therapy?

Every 4–6 weeks suits most horses in regular work. Horses in heavy competition or rehab may benefit from more frequent sessions to begin with.

Should I ride after a session?

A light day or turnout is best for 24 hours so the body can integrate the work.

Massage therapy complements, and never replaces, veterinary care. If lameness or injury is suspected, please see your vet first.
